I see some of you arent convinced of Gods love toward all mankind. Thats sad because it seems painfully obvious to me through the New Testament. I think a lot of people grow up with unloving parents and in unloving churches and other factors which they then believe is the way God is. Watch this and believe it. I John 4:7-11 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for GOD IS LOVE. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. (NOT US) In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. The love spoken here is AGAPE love, Gods kind of love that only God can do through us. What happens when you believe in Jesus is that His Spirit then comes and lives in you. You then begin a journey that never ends as God begins to teach you how to live and not just be a continual dumpster fire. Now granted, this is where our will comes in. I have 4 kids, all grown now. While growing up, some were so easy and obedient, some werent. But guess what? I love them all without condition. Why? Because they are my kids. I disciplined them, taught them, listened to them, counseled them, etc. Its the same with God. Hes trying to put your dumpster fire out for you but sometimes its like we resist and refuse to believe that He has a better way. The ones that resist will probably have a rougher life but that doesnt mean they dont know the Lord necessarily. Now back to I Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is KIND......... You know these characteristics are GOD. See above passage in I John- God is LOVE (agape). So you could say it this way, God is patient, God is kind, etc. Now stick your name in there and see how youre doing and then ask your spouse or kids or coworkers. LOL-Get ready for a possible letdown. You reckon we could cut out a lot of problems if people lived by this list in verses 4-7? So God is kind? Yep. Did you know that this characteristic is what brought you to Christ and continues to bring you back when you walk away? Romans 2:4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that the KINDNESS of God leads you to repentance? Now dont make repentance something weird sports fans. All repent means is to change ones mind or purpose, and turn around. So, in conclusion, if Im rubbing your fur the wrong way, turn around.
