I see some things going around about Ebola-fear, and as always, wild-eyed conspiracy theories....one in particular involving the Red Cross, and how they are intentionally injecting Ebola into Africans for the purpose of allowing the West to more readily claim the resources of African countries. Yes, it seems there are people who believe this, and many of them are themselves African. My comment here is just to give you an idea about what we, as part of the global community are dealing with beyond the actual devastating disease itself. Strange comments like this have a peculiar way of turning from fiction to fact, I guess because of one our many human frailties to let our imaginations run amok. I decided to see what Snopes says about this, you know, the closest thing that fact checkers have to a Fact Bible. According to them, this accusation is completely false, big surprise.
