I see the point that this spazzy guy is trying to prove, but he seems painfully unaware of the entire purpose of raising awareness. Not everyone can donate, but pretty much anyone CAN remind others of the existence of terrible diseases, such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), so that these, presumably wealthier, others WILL donate. The goal of raising awareness is to galvanize able individuals to give money to an organization that can effectively make a change, in this case, the ALS Association. Thats the point hes missing. Raising awareness without donating is still a valuable contribution. These videos have made a difference, seeing as ALS foundations have raised millions of dollars because some very proactive, generous individuals, whom just needed a little reminder, have found the decency in their hearts to donate. Shame on anyone who does the ice bucket challenge with the intentions of gaining popularity or seeming saintly, but I applaud those who donate, raise awareness, and truly care about those inflicted with ALS.
