I see this all too often as people identify them selves as a disease. Im diabetic, for instance. By labeling yourself, you turn off your brains resources for change. You make yourself a victim of circumstance rather than the powerful agent of change you truly are. Tell yourself you have a temporary case of high blood sugar ( cholesterol, blood pressure, cancer) that you behaved yourself into and choose to behave yourself out of. Seriously,go to the mirror and say those words to yourself. Your brain is a powerful change agent that responds to your programming. It does not know the difference between fantasy and reality. A class of underachieving kids were told they had scored very high on I. Q. Tests. Guess what happened. Claim your disease and it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Try claiming health. This takes Habit 1-be proactive. Stop blaming.
