I send this Thanksgiving prayer out to my friends and family... On this Thanksgiving Day, we are left to reflect on the past year. We have all suffered losses of family, friends an coworkers. While we will undoubtedly think of them this day, we should not be sad. We should be thankful for the time we got to enjoy with them while they were here, knowing they are now in a better place. We should also give thanks for the family and friends in front of us today. Its easy to forget how precious every day we get to enjoy with them is. The Good Lord could come for any one of us on any given day. We are thankful for our continued health and safety at work. We must continue to rely on our brothers an sisters on the job; treat them with the utmost respect; forgive them when they are not perfect or do something we do not like and protect them with our last breathe. To my law enforcement and BOP friends, we are a special breed to do the job we do. I am thankful for all of you!
