I sent this letter to CTV and CBC weeks ago and nothing...Hi, I have been having a beef with Apple for the last 3 months about my iTouch acting up. I have never down loaded anything illegally always bought from iTunes. Over the years have spent thousands on Tv show, Music and movies. I was told recently that I have to pay $100 to replace my iTouch that is almost 2 years old. I got mad. I told them it was a poor decision considering what a good customer I had been over the years. It went no where for ages. On my spare time I would call or go to store to see if any changes. Over the months i began to with draw my services from Apple. I went from about $75 a month down to $10. I also bought anything not Apple. It cost them alot. I am not sure how much but alot, probably 2 or 3 thousand. Every time I made a move I told them. Nothing that was their policy. Until today. They offered me a brand new iTouch. I think they felt bad. What they never got was the reason I did this. It was principal. I as a paying customer for years gave them money and said nothing. I have a problem with their device and they stand firmly behind a 1 year warranty. Then try and charge me more than the old Device is worth for a new one. That is my story in short. Now what I am going to do is this. When I go down to Apple to collect my shinny new iTouch I am out of disgust for time wasted and being treated poorly service wise is this. I am going to GIVE the iTouch away in the store to a random individual. Yup just someone. To be honest I do not care about the new iTouch that is why I am giving it away. No strings I am just going to ask someone(hopefully who want to buy one, so Apple see no profit) if they want it and then give it to them in an unopened right from Apple store Box. Do you want to film or be part of this? I want nothing only to make a point. The point is Stand behind the product you sell. I can make appointment to pick-up iTouch anytime I want. Thanks for reading, I am sure though that the same approach will be taken by you as Apple, brush it aside. This is a large problem now a days. Companies selling cheap, poor quality craftsmanship, for top dollar. Offer a 1 year warranty and leave that customer on their own. We pay big bucks to these guys and gals and get treated like we did something wrong when their devises or products act up. Well I am standing up to this one and will continue to until something gives.
