I sent this to Nordstrom today. I waited several hours so that I could write it in a calm and measured manner. Today is the last time I will shop at Nordstrom. I had been a customer for over thirty years. When still in my management career wearing a suit and tie everyday, I purchased nearly all of my suits, shirts, socks and shoes at Nordstrom. I have spent many thousands of dollars shopping there. Now that I am retired, I admittedly spend less. Today when I went into the Alderwood Mall store to buy some casual shoes I was told that I could not go behind the secret curtains purchase items on sale because they were reserved for and this is an exact quote Nordstrom customers. Meaning I would need to have Nordstrom credit card. Having spent the thousands at Nordstrom that I have spent, I thought I was a Nordstrom Customer. Well, I guess I am not because I choose to pay for my purchases using the one and only debit/credit card I posses. To be insulted as I was today because I lacked the key to the kingdom ensures that I will never be back.
