I shared with the church body tonight how my brother Joe came to my parents home every Sunday night in order to share the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with his family. We like so many others in this world did not want to hear it. Out of courtesy we would listen to him, but we had no desire to go down the road that he was going to be traveling. But as God would have it one by one the Holy Spirit opened our eyes to our own sinfulness and to the beauty of Jesus Christ. Today many but not all of his family members are walking that same road. Ultimately in the end we shall all find ourselves standing in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those of us who will be allowed to remain in His presence will owe everything to Christ and will thank Him for His grace & mercy. But we will also thank Christ for sending the gospel message by His faithful servant Joe to his family, before seeing fit to call him home. We remember Joe 20 years later for his love for Christ and for family and friends.
