I shook my fist at heaven and said God why dont you do something? - TopicsExpress

I shook my fist at heaven and said God why dont you do something? He said i did, i made you. It was a privilege and a blessing for me to be able to spend the last 9 days with these amazing, generous people. I was worried before i went on the St. Joes mission trip because it was a new group of people that Id never met, but after the first five minutes they included me and now it feels like Ive known them for years. One of the biggest things I learned was just how good I have it. Tonight Ill go home to the open, gentle, and loving arms of both of my parents who know and have taught me about the love of Jesus. Ill drink clean water, eat a home cooked meal, and go to my own bed in my own room. In Rock Creek, SD I witnessed what poverty really was and I realized that its not always lack of food. It can be lack of love, faith, strength, and will to go on. Dcn. Tim spoke a lot about how the largest epidemic on the Indian reservation is apathy, and I thank God that even just for a few days, we got to show hundreds of people and especially children that we care enough to drive 900 miles for them. Im so sad that after three days of endless piggy back rides and Jesus loves yous, we passed out their backpacks and said our goodbyes. Its heartbreaking to think of the mental and physical abuse that will scar those children of God in the next year, but all we can do is pray for them and know that our presence and evangelization touched their hearts and gave them hope. Please pray for the children of Bullhead/Rock Creek, South Dakota. They may be too far away to hug, but Ive learned that Gods love knows no bounds. Jesus you know just how far the east is from the west, from one scarred hand to the other.
