I should have known things couldnt just go simply for us today. Samuel was bumped just before he went into the operating room. Theres a storm and a lot of rain here today. Just before he went into the operating room at the delayed time, the hospital lost power and was operating on generators. It is kind of a scary situation for everyone in surgery, but the nurses and doctors dont seem to be too worried. They are working as usual. There is a fire alarm going off in the burn unit of the hospital. They sent someone to check it out. We cant hear it now, but it shows up on all the computer screens. They have canceled the surgeries until complete power is restored. Samuel is sleeping, which is what he usually does when he gets stressed out. We just heard a flash flood warning come through over the speakers. Wow! Im really not sure how I feel about all this. I do trust that the surgeons will not proceed unless it is completely safe. They are keeping Samuel hooked up to the IVs and ready for surgery. Please pray the storm does no additional damage here and that surgeries can be competed today. Pray that everyone here is filled with peace and that their loved ones are kept safe. I will post another message when we know more.
