I should probably be asleep right now. Instead I am sitting here on the eve of my life. I am crazy excited about Portland Fashion Week. In a few hours I will be bringing out the big guns! A show of a collaboration of artists from varied disciplines. All coming together to convey a thought, a fleeting vision, a compilation of ideas that I think go together in some stretch of my imagination.....and the dresses. There will be dresses....with metal work by a very talented artist, Teri Winfield. This woman has been my best friend for 18 years. Yep she gets me. Yes, she sees me drawing shapes in the air, she hears what I describe over the phone, she looks at the pinterest board that I make and say, thisandthisandthis, but you know...like this.... then it magically becomes a reality. You will see that. And epiphany, after epiphany....serendipitous paths that cross in my corner of the world downtown. You will see that happen later too... and the dresses, there will be dresses. But hopefully for 10 minutes you find yourself somewhere lost in the magic of all of it, listening to the fantastical creation of cello genius Adam Hurst...carrying you to that place, the magic. Adam got it and is bringing it..... Oh and you beautiful lady.... my lovely surprise, I cannot wait for you to add your piece to this creative cacophony of beautiful things!!! So crazy excited to see this whole thing each piece form into one. The energy in this room is going to be INSANE!!!! I CANT BLOODY WAIT!!!!!!! ....and with that sweet dreams lovers
