I sincerely appreciate the shortage of water in parts of the world, including some emerging areas within the US borders. However, when one releases a bucket of water back to the earth, that is not a waste of a resource. Plants, trees, our own cycle of life and so many other processes that would take too long to list depend on the regular release of water back to the natural cycle. If you want to get a campaign started to save water, how about one to stop Nestle or the other manufacturers from bottling water and leaving it warehouses, containers, trucks and bottles? If anything getting people to dump water out of the city systems is a GOOD thing. Reminds me a little of the Boston Tea Party actually. Or how about a campaign to stop the big water companies from blocking access to community springs that they have decided to own? Or directly draining aquafers before the water even reaches the springs? I get it, its easier to go after people supporting a good cause like ALS than after corporate America, just dont forget whos on your side of that equation.
