I sit here today working in my home office and I cant stop thinking about Jon Gdovin and what he accomplished yesterday. Jon did the Ironman triathlon in Lake Placid. This is his 4th Ironman. The race started with a 2.4 mile swim, into 112 mile (yes 112 miles) bike ride, onto the finishing leg which was 26.2 mile run. There was live feed that you could watch which I did and it just amazed me to see these athletes as they finished their swim and started out on the bikes and then get off the bikes after 112 miles to start the 26 mile run. Several did not get to experience the thrill of crossing the finish line, but you know what.... They tried !!! As I said in the beginning of this post I sit here working and keep thinking about this and the words that pop into my head thinking of Jon are: Aspiration, motivation, drive, perseverance, determination, will, resolve, ambition, to list a few. Also a few quotes come to mind as well success takes time, persistence, determination, and most importantly, believing in yourself! Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe. Great job Jon Gdovin !!! You are a true leader to many and I am grateful that you are a part of my daughter Becky Palmer Lewis, son-in-law Darin Lewis, the trio Ryan, Lauren, Madison, as well as John Palmer and my lives !!!
