I sit here with tears streaming down my face. I just want to go home. I want to go back to that place where I was loved really for all my bad habits, vices, triumphs and failures but most of all; really appreciated by those around me Thats home to me. Were fallible, creatures of habit; Were gonna make mistakes. Sometimes we get caught up in the daily grind of our lives, and it feels like no one notices us or recognizes our efforts. We get judged for the things we didnt do or the promises we didnt keep, but the things we did even the smallest of action gets over looked. In this life we arent guaranteed anything, and we often forget to be grateful for the people and things we do have.Sometimes a simple heartfelt Thank you can go along way for yourself, and from those around you. Saying thank you is not weakness. Sometimes, Its the strongest, most beneficent, act you can do. Its not pity or being forced to change your mind on decisions youve made in your life. But, Sometimes its the only thing you need to do. I never wanted to be rich or famous. I dont want a big house or a fancy car. I just want to be loved, respected, needed, but most of all I need to be valued and appreciated. I just need to hear the occasional heartfelt thank you. That means more to me than giving me the world.... So let me be the first to start this off: Shelia Gambill, Richard Gambill, Kenneth Valentine, Misty Valentine and Amanda Valentine thank you for the unfailing support, all the harsh advice, and faith youve given me over the years. You taught me the simplicity of faith and Joy. Johnathan Woods, Chris Keopsel, Jessica Sea Thank you. You taught me fortitude, and about true strength and to dig deep when the world was at an end to just hang on and climb up-one step at a time. You taught me about gratitude. Finally to Elinor Stubbs, Mary and Edwin Stubbs. You gave me a chance dream that I thought was never going to happen. A family of my Own with four beautiful Kids who are simply Amazing. I thank you for that chance and that support. To Calvin and Chayton Burleson, Liam and Annabelle Gambill (though you may never see this) you are the the four greatest gifts and lessons that I could have ever dreamed of. You are brilliant, bold, creative, and talented. You are inspirational. I love you. You teach me everyday how to be a Dad, to be a friend, and just to enjoy all that I have and be Thankful for it....no matter how small it might be. Thank you....
