I smell like raw turkey. Be glad when I can put it in the oven in about an hour. Dressing done, and bird is stuffed. Pecan Cheesecake Squares in the oven. Strawberry cobbler finished and waiting to be put in the fridge. Looking forward to family and friends tomorrow. Missing the ones who cannot be here. Thinking how blessed I am to have a father who turns 89 years young on Wednesday of next week. Family is so important and I get so upset by those who do not see this. I thank my maker each and every day I have with my father, my husband, my two daughters and my granddaughter and all the cousins and aunts and uncles and my two brothers and their families. Tell your loved ones you love them. I lost a very dear friend this week. She died of cancer at the very young age of 39 years of age. We need to all remember we are but children who have been let out to play, and when our father calls for us to come home, that is what we must do. Kristal Cantrell was called home. She is flying with her wings that are now visible. The time she spent here was hard, but she was never without a smile on her wonderful face. We could all learn a valuable lesson from her. Mary Cantrell and Joseph Cantrell I am thinking of you and Joe, please tell your aunt and your mother in law that I send my love during this oh so hard time all of you are facing. We will see you as soon as you get here. Our prayers and warm wishes will hold you up till you get through this. I promise. Sweet dreams to all tonight. Pray for our country, because it certainly needs it, and I will say a prayer for you and I would ask you do the same for me.
