I so love what I do but when I am sick I really have a hard time getting through the day with so many animals to deal with. I started really feeling bad late last night and by this morning was coughing out green from my lungs. I have started on Cipro and already there is a big difference. I managed to get through the day, get everyone fed and deal with the cold weather on top of it all. Being sick and having this much responsibility can be overwhelming. My little weird guy is improving. He opened his eyes today, although not fully. The swelling in his leg is gone now. He is urinating on his own since we got the scab off his poor little penis and he had poop today. It took two doses of mineral oil to get him going but he is going. I can tell that if this little man survives he is going to have an interesting personality. He has amazed me with his will to survive despite all that is not right with him. Hopefully he will continue to improve so we can see what that personality turns into. The little pinkie girl that arrived with her brothers was barely breathing and off color when I got home from the farm (Bill had picked them up for me). I held her and got her breathing more normally. I got her color to return to the pink she was supposed to be but later she just stopped breathing. I suspect the large bruise on her belly was probably causing some internal bleeding. I always hate to lose any baby but I know I tried my best to help her. RIP sweet little girl.
