I spent a good deal of my life trying to be the smartest person in the room. Not for anyone else but for me to be acceptable to me. This was basically the key to my survival in a bad home situation and later in a male focused profession where I spent almost 30 years of the most productive years of my life, many of those years advocating for others. But now, I see success differently. I no longer strive to be the smartest one around (who really cares). Instead my new goal is to be the the oldest one in the room with an understanding of the young and just enjoy thru observation the lives , my special people are living. To watch the success and struggles of those I love and the strength they have in dealing with them.
