I spent much of this morning engaged in an unbelievably bittersweet activity. I disassembled the beautiful and imaginative guestbook created by several of our Christophers friends for his memorial service in January. I wanted to scan the pages, capturing them for eventual inclusion in a permanent online memorial site we will build for our lost son. As the machine took its time to scan each page, I had ample opportunity to read all the comments and notes and look again at all the pictures that make up this living tribute to our son and the deep and meaningful ties he forged with so many people. There were just so many beautiful expressions of the love his friends had for Toph and so many wishes that we could find solace in the knowledge that he had touched so many lives. Time is ever so slowly dulling the pain of our loss, but time will never diminish our memories. To know that so many of you share in this continues to be a tremendous comfort to us.
