I spent some time over the Summer with one of these fishermen, on the West Coast of Scotland. I know that he would agree with this. He was a local man; understood the local community and its needs and had a complete grasp of the importance of sustaining stocks in order that he could maintain a fragile living from the sea. This is yet another area that could be best and most sensibly dealt with in an independent Scotland.
