I spent some time thinking about this today and finally decided to go ahead and do it. A new art friend Julie Zumwalt nominated me to a FB art challenge meme that has been going around lately. You post 3 photos of your own art or other creative work, then nominate another creative type to also do the same. This goes on for 5 days. Now those of you who know me well know that I am not usually a big fan of FB memes and do not like to do things like this. So I was all set to message Julie and say thanks but no thanks for this dubious honor... but then it hit me. I could not even remember some of my earlier art and not even sure if I ever posted it, and so really it might be good for me to look through my Flickr account and computer and see if I could come up with 15 various pieces that I had done and was (at least relatively) happy about. And this might be a good thing for me, as I am seeking to paint and create more, it would be good for me to see what I have already done. And if any of the people I nominate (watch out 5 of you!) dont want to do this, that is fine too. It is not on me to find someone that will do it, just to name another creative person I think might like to do this. So here goes... my nomination for this first day of the challenge is Maria Moesch, a talented artist who does some wonderful eraser carvings, journaling and other arts. I would love to see more of her fabulous artwork on line, so Maria you are my first nominee! And here are 3 pieces of art I did in the past for Day 1 of the challenge: an art quilt, a collaged mail art postcard and a painting.
