I spent the weekend trying to calm my mind. Last week was miserable as I had to deal with the coming taxes. Nothing but demands for papers and more papers. Entire days of it! By Saturday I was a zombie, meaning that no stories were going through my mind. I stayed very quiet for 2 days, played with my new camera, and watched TV. At about 4 on Sunday I had a thought about Nate in Book 2 so I knew I was going to survive. I made a vow to turn off my phone for half the day in the coming week so I can have some peace from the paper demand. This is one of the biggest problems I have in my life. I cant make people understand that my job is 90% inside my mind. They think I can stop for an hour, search for some document from 2011, then go right back to what I was writing. I cant do it. Sometimes it will take me days to get back to my story. Are there things about your job that people cant understand? Jude
