I spent this afternoon installing my sculpture Ruru at NZ - TopicsExpress

I spent this afternoon installing my sculpture Ruru at NZ SCULPTURE ONSHORE. Its temporary home is perfect, perched above Rangitoto. One of the reasons I made this sculpture was as a tribute to Don Binney who died in 2012. In birdwatching, Binney said he discovered a passage into the landscape and the opportunity to develop a personal relationship with it. His paintings frequently depicted the west coast of Auckland and Northland, containing sea, sky and native birds. Sculpture on Shore is open from 6-16 November - Narrow Neck, Devonport. nzsculptureonshore.co.nz/ or follow the event on FaceBook https://facebook/NZSculptureOnShore.
