I spoke with a guest recently that was consumed by the need to control...She complained from the minute we sat down..her arms folded...defensive...a dark shield of resistance....she seemed to thrive in the world of demand and criticism...She felt empowered to tell others what to do..how to act...her way...or no way... I felt like I was having a conversation with a human razor blade...all edge...no depth...dangerous to the touch. These were her rules of the Soul. If you dont think the way I do...you are wrong....or just stupid. If you dont agree with me...I will become agitated and angry. If you dont act the way I think you should...I will reject you or try to punish you. If you dont place me on a pedestal...watch out. If you dont inflate my sense of well being...be on guard. If you question me...I become defiant...annoyed...How dare you! I will use bribery...intimidation..deception...to win..no matter what...! Your purpose in my life is for me...not you..! Many of us have met people like this...your thoughts please. Share if you choose.
