I started pushing my first book Love Don`t Live Here (revised edition) in the streets the winter of 05`. Freezing isn`t the word to describe that winter. Nevertheless along with some vendors I put about 2,500 books on the streets before spring rolled in. People always ask me what is the best and less costly route for a new author to take to build a following. My response is always is that they have to get out there with their book and sell it. In this industry Fame is not always a reflection of sales. But if you grind you will sell. Sometimes its time to just write and focus on just this b/c the quality and quantity of your catalog can determine how much $$ can be generated and also how much of the market you can penetrate.
