I stayed because he made me believe nobody else would love me. I stayed because I believed I deserved all of that. I stayed because I was told to be patient and its just a phase. I stayed because I thought he would change for our baby. I stayed because my parents paid so much for my wedding. I stayed because I was told that happiness is overrated and that there are no married couples in the world. I stayed because my parents could never accept that their daughter is a divorcee (janda) I stayed because I thought everything was gonna be ok. I stayed because I was already pregnant and thought I had no way out. I stayed because he made me believe I was worthless. I left because I was already nine months pregnant, beaten up, admitted to the hospital, divorced verbally more than three times, and was told not to get back. (Even though I was very close to accepting him back, believing all the above) And now Im happy alhamdulillah. Allah knows what is best for us.
