I still dont get all the hate against the Mortal Instruments movie itself, we rant and rave about wanting female-led movies, we rant and rave about wanting to see strong female characters who dont sit around waiting for a prince charming, we rant and rave about wanting to see female characters being the lead of their own story and getting in on the action - yet when we get a movie like that, when we could possibly get a franchise where we finally see a young female character at the lead, a young female character being active and deciding her own fate and not waiting around on the sidelines, we dont support the movie? How are we suppose to show to Hollywood that young strong female characters can lead movies that can be successful so that they will go make more movies with strong female characters if we wont even support such movies? I just dont understand this logic ---- movies like Twilight gets millions of dollars and girls looking up to that as a role model, yet when an actual strong female heroine comes along in the Mortal Instruments movie, no one wants to see it? I just honestly dont get it
