I stood in the gardens awaiting my house guest. My hair freshly - TopicsExpress

I stood in the gardens awaiting my house guest. My hair freshly coiffed. cheeks rouged and a twinkle in my eye put in place by that unfortunate young man lying dead in the cellar. The air was fragrant with the scent of magnolias blooming at last. It had been an unkind and unforgiving winter. However, Spring had Sprung and with it the promise of new life, renewal, rejuvenation and of course revenge. When he accepted the terms he sat there spinning his ring round his finger, his eyes never leaving his bourbon. In fact, he had said nothing, not even to clear his throat. Then, without warning two words fell from his lips that would seal his fate and grant me my prize. Very well. His expression was beyond cold, it was far worse. It was empty. Which suited me fine. What had I hoped for, jubilation? I had after all just taken his love and life away from in and all in the matter of mere moments. Besides, we would have an entire lifetime to become besties, if he played his hand accordingly. I felt his presence long before he spoke up a witch knows when the dead walk, and they surely know when they break the barrier protecting their home. He approached from the southern corner of the gardens, the sun illuminating his figure just enough so that he looked almost angelic there in his fine suit and designer loafers. An angel who had been clipped of his wings and forced to do the bidding of the devil that is. Hello Elijah, I trust you found the place alright? My ancestors were such sticklers for keeping us hidd... I was cut off mid-sentence. I said I would stay here Ms.Devereaux. I have agreed to allow you the supply of blood you require to sustain your miserable existence. But at no time did this contract indicate we would need converse. Spare me your false niceties and show me to the servants quarters. I assume your kind still keeps slaves? I was disheartened but amused as I lifted my brow quizzically and stepped from the garden. So be it, all work and no play. For now. But you will find in time that my company can be quite pleasing, especially in comparison to that of the rats in Grand daddys hot boxes. And so it begins...
