I stood up to a bully today. A driver of an SUV for the past - TopicsExpress

I stood up to a bully today. A driver of an SUV for the past month would enter our quiet neighborhood and would sound and hold their horn for nearly 1 block as they drove by my home. They did it everyday, and in the past week the frequency of it doubled per day. I live in a development allotment of newer homes and its usually a pretty quiet place. But this car had been a disturbance to the point of harassment to the families on my street and it would happen at all hours of the day and night... Why!?!? At first i thought it was just teens having a go with one another or a friend saying hi as they went by. Either way, today I had had enough. I was ready for them and tracked them back to their home. They live just a few blocks away. I knocked on their door and confronted them. A woman (late 50s) answered the door, and i asked if that was her car. She said yes and I asked why are you sounding the horn going passed our houses? She said she didnt like that there is a car parked on the street in front one of the homes there. I explained to her that that was my neighbors daughters car and it is not illegal to park there... She said, neirther is blowing my horn. I said its disturbing families and some mothers in the area have newborn babies and its scaring them. She said why dont you talk to your neighbor and ask them to park in their drive way...? I said again its not illegal, or the point.... you are harassing our families and bullying me now to do your dirty work. She refused to back off. I said fine. Its not illegal for me to report my concerns or share with the other homes in the area that you are the one causing the problem and where you live. Police came out and spoke with her. Its stopped and peace on our street will only be interrupted by the Popsicle Man. *sigh* Thank goodness.
