I studied to learn that work must precede success, work is a necessity for success to be birthed, it is the one definite prerequisite for success. Indeed it is only in the dictionary that success comes before work. Upon learning this truth, I became determined to work, because I wanted to succeed. But just then I remembered a host of very hard working people I knew that werent successful... Or that are yet to be successful. This reality made me make further research on the concept of work, then I stumbled on this definition. I saw the definition of work in physics as force times distance. So work is a measure of the energy expended in applying a force to move an object. This means work is not just energy exerted in applying a force, but its relative to the resultant effect of the force. It implies if you push a trailer for instance and all your hands get weak and weary from pushing and you even sweat profusely from the stress of pushing, but if your pushing does not result in the displacement (move in distance of the trailer), then no work has been done... Its simply suffering At this point I understood why people put in effort and not get the desired results. I was able to distinguish between working and suffering. Suffering is the exertion of energy to no effect, while working is the exertion of energy to a definite effect. So work is not activity but productivity.... The question is, are you suffering or working? Does your effort yield the desired results? Think about it and if it does not, review the direction of your energy. I love you all. #praiseinspired
