I submitted an application at UN office Abuja last week Monday. I decided I should travel back to Makurdi (still in the Northern part of Nigeria) the next day, to at least chill after these tough days. I packed my stuffs and headed to the park. I entered the park, boarded a bus and took the back seat (my favorite position). Two passenger seats were still left unoccupied and as we waited, I began checking out my Facebook updates. Weird enough, my attention got fixed on a guy on the 3rd row for about 30 seconds. I concluded his body movement suggests he was nervous, to top it up, he doesnt look like a Yoruba guy or Igbo guy to me, he had a small Nokia phone in hand with head phones on. Hmmm . . . . , and he was carrying quite a heavy looking HP laptop bag on his laps. As I was about to mind my business and face my phone. That same guy alighted from the bus leaving the bag behind!...... I concluded I wasnt going to die that day. OMG, I never knew I could be as fast as a Jack Bauer ooooo. If it was extraordinary power, I cant tell but before you could blink, I mean your eyes, I jump out through the window, landed on the ground & started running for safety like lighting coupled with thunderstorms. People began running too. My co-passengers already felt my plight, and were quickly disappearing from the bus like when Adam heard Gods voice after he sinned. At a safe distance and amidst mass confusion, we were looking and waiting for the bus to explode when the idiotic guy that left his HP bag returned to the bus. Adjusting his trouser and probably wondering what could have emptied the bus like that. He meticulously enter the bus, went to his seat & sat down, open the groundnut he just bought & began chewing. The next thing that came out of my mouth was just: Mtcheeew. I dont even have strength in me to look at the confused people who kept asking: whats wrong, whats wrong?. . . . . Chai! Chai!! Boko Haram will not kill us in Nigeria with this kind of morbid ooo!!!
