I support Protect Glade Road and their vision for Glade-redevelopment. The citys plan for Glade costs $20M, takes 10 years to complete, and most disturbingly, violates individual property rights with the use of eminent domain and forced property sales for various amenities. It also sacrifices the community-defining character of Glade along with almost 300 mature trees. My plan for Glade solves for traffic flow first, costs $12M less and takes a little over two years to complete - all while protecting individual property rights by utilizing the existing right-of-way. This issue is that simple, and hopefully the voters will see it that way. We dont need more expensive, Big Government public works vanity projects. We need affordable, common sense solutions to basic transportation and infrastructure problems, and we need to protect the people we serve, their homes and property values - not force unnecessary amenities on them they dont want or need. Help us resist the Southlake-ization of Glade and Colleyville.
