I suppose anything could happen in the 28 - 29 hours that are left in the year -- knock on wood -- but the seconds are ticking down in round 12 of my 12 round battle with 2014 ... and only the ropes are keeping 2014 on his feet. This fight really should have been stopped, well, quite a few rounds ago already, but the fact remains that, yes, it REALLY deserved the shit kicking its gotten. And it all began last Yuletide with my first trip over to Saltspring Island; by which point Id had enough and resolved in my heart to simply forget about the sources of frustration in life and just enjoy what there is to enjoy. Sure, Ill give it to 2014 that it got in a couple Mr.T hard shots early on, but like good ol Rocky Balboa said, Is that all you got??? You aint got nothin! And from there on, it has been all me. Like, I WINCE at the memory of it! And whats best is, as it turns out, I didnt have to forget about anything. ;) \ :) /
