I suspect they are as confused about death as they seem about - TopicsExpress

I suspect they are as confused about death as they seem about life. In life they think themselves ‘individuals’ who somehow ‘possess’ a ‘soul’ or self. This is impossible. They fear at death to ‘lose’ what they have never possessed, but only participated in. What happens at death is quite unlike their conjectures... nothing is lost. In fact, it is as if, suddenly, inexplicably, everything is regained in an entirely new way that is apersonal... and thus... far more inclusive than anything they are wont to imagine as ‘individuals’. — an a i
