I suspected the 3 sec. memory thing was a myth- my mum and dad have two awesome fish tanks and those fish know when youre sat close watching them; they shoal up in front of you, follow your hand and I always thought that while you cant see intelligence there (because of the way their eyes are), they definately always seemed to me they were perfectly aware that someone was there and certainly arent scared. Plus, if youre scientifically minded like myself, the question has to be asked: how the hell could they (or any creature for that matter) even survive with a 3 second memory? Having said that, I seem to do quite well! LOL!!!
