I swear the City of Galveston has a good scam going. Back at the beginning of August this year I paid for a year long parking pass for our Honda. Back in September I went to renew our license plate tag and they made us get a new license plate with a new number, you are required to do this every seven years unless you have those specialty licenses. When I got the new license plate I called the Pay By Phone parking people to see what I needed to do. The lady took the new tag number and told me she would get it changed, and it reflected the change on my account. Today we parked up on the seawall and got a ticket. Why? We were told by the parking company today that it was because the city only lets you pay the one time for that license number, if you have to change it due to state law you have to pay for another parking pass. This is bull crap!!! It is bad enough we pay a crap load of taxes in this city for very little service. It is horrible that we that are tax payers here have to pay for parking on the seawall at all, but to expect for us to pay for it twice on the same vehicle is ridiculous. This is a scam!
