I swear updates come on days when you need them the most.. after not being able to save the mama we were trying to bring into rescue yesterday, I recieved a fantastic update today. it was for my precious Moon, one who came to us broken and we had the pleasure of being a stepping stone on her path to happiness... Moon came to us as a broken who was beaten daily, she was pregnant. Sadly her body absorbed her 3 babies because of all of the trama and stress she under went. The day she transported up here, my kids and I sat up at the Mars office for most of the day. we coaxed her out from under the front desk and gained her trust well enough for her to be comfortable with us. She loved my kids! She was with us for awhile working on socialization skills and confidence. I adopted her out to a family who I hoped would be her forever home but it wasnt her destiny as she was returned not two months later.... She went to a wonderful foster home as we could not take her back, we had already had another mama here. Her wonderful foster mama took her to training to continue to build her confidence and help her be the best dog she could be, and Help her understand the confusion of yet another home giving up on her for no fault of her own.... And then, came her FOREVER family!!!! I cant thank this couple enough for giving her the life she was meant to have, reading this update made me cry tears of joy for a once broken girl who will never know pain and sadness again Here is a glimpse of Moons Picture Perfect life;) Hey Becca! Moon is fabulous! She is such a great dog for us. My wife and I have many moments where we say to one another that Moon is one of our best decisions. Walks started out rough. She just had to be leading the way, but she has gotten a lot better and is not pulling us around the block. She is such a cuddler and we love it. We are shocked that she wasnt snatched up before us. She puts on her pouty face every morning before we go to work. Its just not fair that she can do that. She gets along really well with our cat, Jim. That took some time, but now they play together often. She will get a little too rough sometimes, but Jim holds his own. We truly couldnt be happier with her. All of our friends and family love her because she is so calm and loving. She also learned how to swim at our cabin. She loves the water! We couldnt ask for a better dog.
