I tend to agree with Amanda Marcottes assessment on this Verizon ad. Its mostly right. Emeline love science. She asked me this morning about space and time. Yesterday was about how to identify buildings as residential or business, just by looking. The day before she outlined her logic that if the world were actually getting hotter -- as we global climate change proponents insist -- then the sea level would be going *down*, not up, because water evaporates faster in the heat (remember: shes four). I love having those conversations with her. I do whatever I can to get her to think creatively and encourage more thinking just like that. Of course, she also loves fairies (currently showing on a virtual perpetual-loop on our TV: Disneys Pirate Fairy). She loves dressing up. She loves makeup and cupcakes and her jewelry box. Thats all okay, too. So, like most things, its about finding a balance. Im sure someone will let me know if theyve gotten it exactly right.
