STAGE PERSONNEL WHO ARE CAPABLE OF OPERATING IN FLOOD WATER OPERATIONS 2. SPY-THE-SKY - This means you track weather, vulnerable places and possible hard hit aras for prioritizing your operations 3. SYSTEMS CHECK - Check your equipages, plans, rescue boats and vehicles 4. STRICT COMPLIANCE TO INDIVIDUAL SURVIVAL-SAFETY-SECURITY KITS - Well, this S3 protocol is a must to all operatives. Its a way of life. 5. SCIENCE IT OUT! - In endemic areas where flood-related illnesses are common like Leptospirosis, Doxycycline 100 mg 2 tablets per week is mandatory before immersing in the flood, during immersion and a week after immersion even up to 6 months after exposure according to studies 6. SECURE YOUR FAMILY FIRST - Charity starts at home. Never check out without confirming that your family, yourself, your neighborhood and headquarters are high and dry! DURING FLOODING --- 1. STAGE PERSONNEL FOR DEPLOYMENT - Stage appropriate teams for flood operations in your Command Center/HQ and plan your action. 2. STUDY EN ROUTE PROCEDURES - While on the way to the hot zone, study movement of people evacuating,continuously monitor rainfall/flooding/weather/landslide tendency/ security issues. SANITIZE - Always take the healthy habit of doning your BSI during patient encounters. appropriate PPEs please! Dont crowd ambulance with dirty laundry. 11. STOCK UP - Re-hydrate and carbo loading ad lib. Dont die in the field with electrolyt loss or what. You will be the funny headline news! 12. SENSE YOUR TEAM MATES - No one is out of visual distance or radio con. No one is left behind. 13. SURE HIT! - Be sure the patients go to the identified medical treatment acilities POST-DEPLOYMENT --- 1. STAFF AND EQUIPMENT RECALL - Check everyone and everything 2. SANITIZE - Clean up guys. STUDY - Wen things are over, debriefing taks place and study the positive and negative results of your operations; evaluate protocols in the avenues of simplicity, effectivity, and efficiency (SEE). Continuously track for more weather disturbances that might pass along your corridor 5. STOCKPILE AGAIN - Okay, replenish damage and loss of equipment during your ops 6. SPOIL YOURSELF! - Go back to your loved ones and enjoy your time with them High and dry, people! RESCUE 1
