I think I just broke the record for mowing my half acre lawn. Just got on the mower and the thunder and lightening started. My house is on the highest point in Victoria, County (according to the Fire Department guys who came when the neighbors house was struck by lightening and caught on fire). Anyway, in the 40 years we have lived here, we have had lightening hit our lot two times, both times trees. The neighbors beside us and behind us both had their houses hit once. In fact the six houses around us have all had trees or houses struck by lightening at least once and a couple of them hit two times. Lawn mowed and Im in the house now....if I missed a spot...who cares!!
