I think I just wrote the most accurate description of being ha parent ever: Being a parent is 24/7 and never stops. No holidays. Just isnt a normal like haiiii be my boyfriend kinda thing. Its a watch your every move because everything you do sets an example for my son of how a man should act and an example for my daughter of how she should be treated. Its giving up late night bullsh*t and barely making it to your own bed to sleep at 9pm. Its understanding you have to share EVERYTHING you eat or drink for the rest of your life. Its constantly having bodily fluids all over you in some disgusting form. Its a meltdown in the middle of a restaurant and broken sh*t that might be important to you. Its fingerprints on the windows and slimy hands touching the TV. Its acting like vitamins and vegetables taste great and trying not to gag them up yourself. Its putting every single minute of your life towards their well being and best interest. But I wouldnt change any part of it. Being a mom is the best part of my life even when I want to pull my hair out because I have two screaming kids and my house is a mess because there will never be ANYONE who loves or needs me more than my babes.
