I think Im a pretty decent cook. Im certainly not a french chef nor even a short-order cook but Ive never killed anyone with my cooking....yet. Today, I got the bright idea of putting a large white potato in the microwave. While that was cooking I was going to fry a couple of fish fillets on the stove. Evidently, white potatoes and microwaves dont go together....who knew? The next thing I knew my kitchen was filled with smoke and I could barely see anything. I think this is called Holy Smoke ! I opened up my back door and all the windows in the kitchen and put a fan by the window to blow the smoke outside. Im surprised that someone didnt call the fire company and report a fire at my house. I didnt see any flames shooting out of my microwave. Eventually, all the smoke cleared and that thing inside the microwave sure didnt resemble a potato anymore. Threw that out the back door. NOTE: Always boil white potatos in water from now on. The End !
