I think as a service to our own people, our Tribe should be getting into the local schools and teaching our kids more about the struggles we have overcome as Native peoples as well as instilling traditional and cultural knowledge into our youth. Our people are becoming so far removed from who we are as Natives. Its saddening when I see the younger generations mocking their fellow Tribal members without a second thought. It wasnt the way they was made, its the way they was raised. I am so glad I had a traditional grandfather and grandmother present in my upbringing. They were the last of a dying breed in these parts. To know who I am and where I come from, helps me stay grounded and guides me to where I am going. Nobody can take that from me. 💖 I hope in the end, my ancestors are proud of who I am and all that I have done in my life. Aho.
