I think back on that day and some things still aint clear... Tears filled my eyes to the point I couldnt steer... I just couldnt believe! My heart filled with fear! No way he could be gone no way my heros dead! I heard the words I felt the pain but I couldnt clear my head. A morning meant for bulls and fun had somehow turned so cold... I rode two head that day and they say I rode them well but I dont remember and i cant even say I tried... I put my hand in my bull rope slid up and said lets ride... And when the dust all settled and two head were rode and I still had my hide I remember looking up to heaven and when I closed my eyes I saw that wink I heard you say good ride! We had our ups and downs our good times and the bad... But no matter what youll always be my dad... I miss you everyday and this one seems to be the worst... I saw you in a dream last night and I heard that sweet voice I sat straight up in bed and started to weep the last two years came out and all of my regrets... I know you loved me deeply Im your oldest son... I know you forgave me for the words that were said I know you never gave up I know how much you tried.... I held my little brothers and my older sister too We all stood together and wept for you... I held them tight and close cause I knew thats what youd do... Your always in my heart and I know im always with you!
