I think every Muslim youth should know about Muhammad Allama Iqbal (1877-1938) and his contribution to Urdu and Persian literature, philosophy, and politics. Having studied at Cambridge University in England and Ludwig Maximilian University in Germany, Iqbal was educated and knowledgeable about the workings of the world. He was knighted by King George the V in 1922 and given the title of Sir. In his lifetime, he also met with Benito Mussolini at Mussolinis request. Iqbal was a true visionary of his time and his eloquent writing continues to inspire and empower millions of people today.
