I think its about gun responsibility, rather than gun control.. I agree with a lot of what Vedder says in this interview.. Theres certainly a place for protection of self and home that Im in concurrence with, but when getting a drivers licence is more difficult than getting a gun, something is obviously very wrong.. Wouldnt mind seeing gun education happen as well--we have road tests and exams before acquiring a license, why not the same with guns?.. But even with training, having a gun is not a gaurantee of safety during a hypothetical real-life altercation--Ive heard stories of superb marksmen whose controlled-environment, firing-range expertise fails them while in the line of duty and most of their shots miss the target.. Theres also the issue of mental health, that dissociated individuals in this society are having access to guns and, most tragically, going on the rampage.. Guns are obviously not a black/white, clear-cut issue, but too many people have died needlessly through gun violence; out of respect for their memory its important to continually revisit this debate... https://youtube/watch?v=RhHD76Io46U
