I think its time to asses Edgar Lungu... There is a frenzy going round about him being suitable for the Presidency. I honestly do not know the man well and i have not followed his trends and leadership in the past. I hope we can asses him without attaching emotion to it or attaching our individual party affiliations to it. We should not make the mistake of choosing leaders based on emotion because the task ahead is too important to be left to emotion and excitement. Let us put Edgar Lungu under the Microscope and examine his merit. Those of you who know him, 1) How was his performance as Home Affairs Minister 2) Did he Improve the ministry or left it as he found it or worse 3) Does his drinking get in the way of his work 4) Is he a man with Honesty and Integrity, has he been involved in any corrupt scandals 5) How has he performed as a professional what was his record as a lawyer, 6) How well vested is he in developmental, global issues, does he have a wealth of knowledge 7) Is he a team player 8) How confident is he in his decision making, 9) When he starts a task is he committed to completing successfully 10) Is he creative, Does he have the ability to inspire 11) Is he able to communicate 12) Is he able to Delegate effectively 13) Who are his friends cause sometimes we can tell your character by your friends.
