I think its wonderful that awareness for ALS is spreading, but - TopicsExpress

I think its wonderful that awareness for ALS is spreading, but half of yall think that by choosing the ice water, you get to avoid donating. Thats not how it works, youre still supposed to donate at least a small amount instead of the full $100. That info is supposed to be quoted in the video, as well as the website so that people know where to make the donation. And again, I find it frustrating that people are doing it just because its trending or whatever, not because they actually care. It shouldnt take something going viral on Facebook for our generation to want to donate to charity/research. I suggest donating to causes you are personally impacted by and/or interested in, on a regular basis. For instance, I chose the American Diabetes Association because my father is an insulin dependent diabetic, Color Cancer because my brother is a leukemia survivor, and the HOPE Project in Rwanda because Ive worked with children in Africa. Im also donating to ALS because Chris Boyenga wanted to call me out, but I turned it down because a video of me dumping ice on myself isnt what counts. So, go to ALS.org and accept my challenge of actually making a difference instead of getting likes. And if anyone is interested, here are the websites of the other organizations I mentioned: tentalentsint.org/impact/acres-of-hope.php , colorcancer.org , diabetes.org , or my personal fundraising page main.diabetes.org/goto/korilugar
