I think most people on here know that over the past couple of years Ive rebuilt a GSX750FK (1989), got it running and MOTd in March this year. Due to an illness Ive not ridden it much since but its a good ride when I have. Built it for something to do, not with the intention of selling, but read on........ I got it as a project, and surprised myself by getting it roadworthy and running but; a - its not the bike that I would have bought if I was looking for something to ride (prefer a Custom/Cruiser type such as Intruder), b - it needs to be with someone with the technical know how to sort out little niggles that are left. e.g. I think the carbs needs sorting, setting up or maybe replacing but not sure. It runs. c - need something that I can rely on for European touring. Ive spent £1,400 on it, including labour to get it through the MOT, parts etc. Any spare parts that Ive got left over can either go with the bike or be given away to OSS members. (couple of indicator lights, side fairings, instrument cluster, rear subframe). I wouldnt dream of charging for spares, OSS members have been far too generous to me in enabling me to get this bike roadworthy. Wouldnt put it on Gumtree, or similar, without offering it to those OSS members with a passion for such bikes.
