I think that although reports to DEFACS are anonymous, when they turn out to be unfounded and based upon someone just trying to hurt someone else, it should be false report of a crime or a more serious offense and DEFACS should be forced to give up the anonymous asshole that started the investigation. Not only does it terrorize innocent people, it wastes very limited resources DEFACS had that need to be protecting legitimate complaints. I see it all the time from jealous exes to neighbors just using DEFACS to terrorize people they are to scared to confront themselves.
