I think thats right sort of...since people often develop psychiatric problems as a result of the disorders of some hormones ,enzymes or generally any biochemical molecules involved in maintaining us in a normal state when they are within a certain range. Even if that psychiatric problem is genetic ,the genes of the problem will act through increasing -and may be decreasing if lacking certain genes- the rate of the biosynthesis of those biochemical molecules (hormones such as dopamine and i think serotonin in case of schizophrenia ,enzymes,...etc). Accordingly ,you can deduce that we are actually vulnerable to psychiatric problems as long as we cannot frequently keep those hormones within normal range. And stress has a great effect on our physiological and physical conditions where it can change our hormones levels either temporarily or chronically according to the duration of stress. Consequently ,its interesting sort of when we deduce that when we have short-time stress then we may think schizophrenically ,manically ,...etc temporarily according to the type of hormone disturbed by stress. On the other hand ,u might ,for example, develop schizophrenia if you have stress-induced hormonal disturbance for more than six months. Hence ,hormones should be within a normal range. In addition ,we are easily vulnerable to stress =>easily vulnerable to hormonal changes => easily vulnerable to develop psychiatric problems=>easily believe the man who wrote the article below. In brief,we have mental problems in various ratios determined by the extent of our hormonal changes....
